- The United Kingdom has had nine different PMs - and seven different Doctors in Doctor Who! - since Forest won the 1989-90 League Cup final.
- When Forest last won a trophy the Channel Tunnel didn't exist. Construction of the 31.4 miles long tunnel started in 1988 and was completed in 1993.

- Brian Clough, who died in 2004, won nine major trophies with Forest, including the European Cup (twice). The 1989-90 League Cup was his last trophy.
